The Group Fitness program at Campus Recreation is designed and dedicated to promote healthy lifestyles in the ETSU community. Certified instructors provide a variety of fitness classes for all fitness levels. Group exercise classes are FREE for students, faculty, staff, and CPA members. Registration is recommended for all classes. Please plan to arrive to group fitness classes 5 - 10 minutes prior to the beginning of class.

- Visit the CPA Member Portal.
- Sign in by clicking "Sign In" and then the navy "ETSU Login" button.
- Click on your username in the upper right corner and select "Profile".
- Using the menu on the left, select "Program Registrations".
- Find the class you would like to cancel and click the 3 dots to the right.
- Lastly, select "Cancel Registration".

Buc Fit Challenge

Campus Recreation invites you to take on the Buc Fit Challenge! From Tuesday, January 21, to Friday, February 21, participants are encouraged to engage in a variety of energizing group fitness classes. Grab a punch card from the Member Services Desk or a Group Fitness Instructor to get started today!
Complete 10 classes to earn your punches, and then drop off your card at the Member Services Desk for a chance to win an ETSU Duffel Bag packed with exciting freebies!

ACE Prep Course Interest Meetings

Attend an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Prep Course Interest Meeting to learn more about becoming certified as a personal trainer or a group fitness instructor through our ACE Prep Courses! This interest meeting will provide a brief overview of both of our ACE Prep Courses. The costs associated with each course, certification exams, and the potential for employment with Campus Recreation will also be covered. This meeting will last approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

ACE Prep Course: Group Fitness Instructor

Interested in becoming a certified group fitness instructor, but don't know where to start? This 7-week course enables you to become an effective group fitness instructor and prepares you for a national certification in group fitness instruction. By the end of this course, you will have the knowledge and practical experience necessary to complete your ACE Group Fitness Instructor certification exam. Classes will begin on Monday, February 3, and end on Wednesday, March 26.

Interested in becoming a certified personal trainer but don't know where to start? This 6-week course enables you to become an effective personal trainer and prepares you for a national certification in personal training. By the end of this course, you will have the knowledge and practical experience necessary to complete your ACE Personal Trainer certification exam. Classes will begin on Tuesday, February 4, and end on Thursday, March 27.

Women on Weights

Are you looking to begin your fitness journey but feel intimidated by the gym? Our Women on Weights Small Group Training is designed to help female-identifying individuals become more comfortable using equipment and working out in the CPA. Our certified Personal Trainers will teach you how to use a variety of equipment and build an effective workout program during this 5-week course! Sessions are held twice a week for a total of 10 training sessions to help you say goodbye to gym-timidation. While this program is geared towards female-identifying individuals, all individuals, regardless of gender identity, are welcome to participate in this progressive training program.
