Question: How did your education prepare you for the next step?

Pursuing the MPH degree alongside the MD program at ETSU gave a synergistic boost of relevance and meaning to both. I knew I wanted to pursue academic medicine, teaching, and research, and the education I received set me up well for all of those things. Aside from receiving necessary tools, I was pushed, encouraged, and strengthened as a student and person.

Question: Something (or things) you wish you had known when you were a student?

Dive in. Regardless of your initial reasoning for pursuing a public health degree and education, go for it with purpose and excitement. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn and grow in an environment like this, so dive in!
