Question: How did your education prepare you for the next step?
My education in the College of Public Health was tremendous in preparing me for my career. Not only was the course material relevant to my field of work, aspects such as my Field Internship placement played a large role in paving the way for my current position. I will forever be grateful for my time in the College of Public Health.
Question: What are some things you wish you had known as a student?
I wish that I would have known not to box myself into one specific concentration or area of focus. I am in a different field of Health Administration/Public Health now than I planned to be during my undergraduate coursework and have found my passion in other areas than I would have anticipated. I wish I had started exploring a larger variety of opportunities sooner.
Question: Anything else you'd like to say?
Make the most of your time in college, at ETSU, and in the College of Public Health. Do not be afraid to jump into one of the many great opportunities available to you in this great College and University.
