The Chemistry Department offers several awards and scholarships to chemistry majors and students who enroll in chemistry courses. Awards are voted on in the department and are presented to the students with excellence in chemistry and overall academic achievement at a yearly departmental banquet.

Thomas Whitehead Award
An award given to an outstanding chemistry major who has completed general chemistry, based on scholastic achievement.
Clifford Boyd Award
An award given to an outstanding chemistry major who has completed organic chemistry and quantitative analysis, based on scholastic achievement.
Karen and Michael Fallgatter Award
D.G. Nicholson Award
An award given to an outstanding chemistry major who has completed physical chemistry, based on scholastic achievement.
Boris Franzus Memorial Scholarship Award
An award given to an outstanding student in undergraduate organic chemistry.
Delmas & Wanda Blevins Dugger Endowed Scholarship
Each applicant must have completed a minimum of two semesters at ETSU, with an overall GPA of 3.0 or better; must have declared Chemistry as his/her major at ETSU; must have 8.0 credit hours (two semesters) in General Chemistry; should demonstrate financial need; and should preferably be a resident of Johnson, Carter, Washington, Unicoi or Sullivan counties in Tennessee.
