Occupational Candidates Licensure Pathway
East Tennessee State University offers an Occupational (CTE) Licensure Program for individuals who have the appropriate industry experience and certification and have been or will be hired as the teacher of record in a school system with which ETSU holds a partnership.
The Occupational License Program may be completed at the undergraduate or graduate level. The program consists of six courses for a total of twelve credit hours. All of the required courses in the program are available online; however, some courses may offer an in-person option, as well.
Candidates who are interested in beginning the Occupational License program at ETSU will need to complete the pre-admission requirements as described below.
