Printmaking
Area of Study
The Printmaking area offers a range of processes including lithography, intaglio, relief printmaking, monotype, and screenprinting. Students are guided through these processes, while developing their own visual voice and critical eye. Class discussions, lectures, and critiques allow students to understand the historical and contemporary framework of the medium. Exploration of the traditional processes is supported by coursework and available equipment. Expanded applications of printmaking, conceptually and technically, are welcomed and encouraged, especially at the upper level.
