Whether you are transferring from another college or university, a returning student, or brand new to ETSU, New Student & Family Programs can help to aid your transition to the university, expose you to the broad educational opportunities of the university and integrate you into the life of the institution.
Though New Student and Family Programs does not provide academic advising for majors and minors, we can assist you by helping you find your advisor, doing an unoffical transcript evaluation, helping you register for classes (after you have been advised), exploring degree works with current students and more. Assistance is also available for continuing ETSU adult and transfer students.
All students have an advisor and should meet with their advisor each semester. In fact, ETSU requires most students consult with an advisor before registering each semester. Your advisor is a personal link between you and your degree. The relationship you develop with your advisor is important to your success at ETSU.
