POLO Intern Position
The POLO Interns serve in an elevated leadership role to help support the functions of the office of New Student & Family Programs. New Student & Family Programs is responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive new student transition experience for both students and families through Orientation, Preview and ongoing Family Programs. POLO Interns play a critical role in the success of New Student & Family Programs through serving as mentors to current POLO Leaders, working in the office during the summer, and serving as logistical leads for Orientation and Preview.
Essentially, our POLO Interns are the POLO Leaders for our POLO Team. It is an opportunity to give back, grow, and sustain the impact of the Preview and Orientation Leadership Organization (POLO).

Hi!! My name is Mattie Smith, and I am from Boone, North Carolina. I am majoring in Nursing, and I will graduate with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing in the Fall! Along with this, I love to travel, spend time with family and friends, and go to the lake!

Hey! My name is Aidan Townsend, and I am from Kingsport, TN. I am majoring in Business Marketing with a minor in leadership studies. A little bit about me is that the two loves in my life are soccer and Harry Potter.
