Statistical Software Packages for ETSU Students
Software is made available to ETSU Students through a virtual delivery platform called AppStream 2.0. Students have access to the same statistical packages as Faculty and Staff, including SPSS, SAS, Minitab, and RStudio. Software can also be found on desktop computers in student labs.

Statistical Software Packages Available at ETSU
ETSU maintains Enterprise licenses for SAS (version 9.4), SPSS (version 25), Minitab (version 18), and RStudio. ITS Research Computing also has available 20 Atlas.ti qualitative data analysis licenses for checkout. You may be able to access these programs from your ETSU desktop or laptop, student lab computer, or AWS AppStream virtual machines but, if not, contact the ITS Help Desk for help or installation. Be certain that your computer is running the latest version so that all current features are available.
Students can access the statistical packages using their ETSU credentials on ETSU lab computers or at https://etsu.awsapps.com/start/
A number of researchers at ETSU use RStudio. The "R Project for Statistical Computing" is an open source platform for statistical computing and graphics. "RStudio" is an integrated development environment that simplifies the use of R through a console.

Graphics Software Packages at ETSU
All statistical packages licensed for use at ETSU support graphical presentation of data. For example, SPSS provides the "Chart Builder," SAS provides the "ODS Graphics Designer and Editor," and Minitab provides the "Graph" feature. In addition, the Tableau Graphics package is available free to students and instructors, although there is a fee for use by administrators. Numerous graphics packages are available for use with RStudio.
