Panopto Video Management Lecture Capture
Panopto Video Management lecture capture technology allows you to record lecture content from class, your office, or a personal device, and put that content online for your students to access at any time. With the appropriate equipment, Panopto Video Management can record your computer screen, audio, and video lecture elements. But it doesn't just put that content online, it also indexes topics for easy navigation during playback, captures words on the screen so that students can search for terms in your presentations, and extracts URLs so that students can easily find web resources that you referenced during class. In addition to all this, Panopto Video Management puts the lecture inside a custom player that allows students to control the playback speed, download the lecture, add bookmarks and notes (which can be exported), send inquiries directly to the instructor, and more. All of these features make it a great tool for both instructors and students.

Respondus Exam Software
Respondus allows you to create exams in a standard word processing program, which can then be quickly and easily published directly into Desire2Learn. Respondus may also be used for the creation of tests or quizzes directly in Respondus. It is a helpful tool when creating exams with large test banks, importing pre-existing exams in D2L, or importing test banks from publishers.

Respondus Monitor Exam Proctoring
ETSU Online provides Respondus Monitor free of charge for all faculty teaching online and distance education courses. Respondus Monitor allows students to take online assessments from a remote location. The Respondus Lockdown Browser locks out other applications and Respondus Monitor allows the instructor to verify the students' identity. Students are recorded during testing taking and the instructor can review any flagged events following the proctored exam. Respondus Monitor works seamlessly in D2L providing a simple and free solution for students.
Please note: Faculty teaching online courses are not required to use Respondus Monitor for exam proctoring. You may use University Testing Services or another trusted source. Any student fees associated with proctored exams or proof of student identify must be provided to the student in writing before registration. Please contact ATS with any questions.

Zoom is freely available to all ETSU faculty, staff and students. Accounts are tied to ETSU credentials and do not need to be created individually. Any faculty and staff can obtain a username and password to create and manage meetings. Once those meetings are created, anyone in the world can access them from any computer connected to the internet. Visitors accessing the meetings do not need to be affiliated with ETSU. Anyone can attend a meeting.

These workshops cover topics such as Microsoft Office, D2L, generative AI, digital media creation, multimedia classroom training, and online teaching. If you need a workshop on a different topic, let us know, and we can create one if there is enough demand or suggest alternative training options, such as one-on-one or cohort training.
