The Office of International Enrollment and Services has a goal of ensuring that each new and returning international student has a clear picture of the financial requirements of studying at ETSU. Knowing this information ahead of time will help students have a smoother transition to studying in the United States and remove some of the unneeded stress of financial surprises.

Cost of Attendance

Tuition and Fees
ETSU students can find their tuition and fees balance on Goldlink after registering for their courses. Within Goldlink, students can find the amount due on tuition, fees, housing, meals, etc. Students are able to submit payments via Goldink, or register for a payment plan.
Students must pay-in-full or register for a payment plan by the Friday before classes begin. Please visit the Bursar's Office Website for additional information about paying your student account balance.

Room and Board
Students have the option of applying to live on-campus while studying at ETSU. Actual costs vary by residence hall and specific prices can be found by clicking here.

Students also have the option of living off-campus while studying at ETSU. The cost of living off-campus can vary greatly based on many different factors.

Dependents (if applicable)
As an international student studying at ETSU, you are eligible to bring your spouse and/or children with you. Adding dependents increases the total cost of attendance and more information, including specific costs, can be found by clicking here.

Personal Financial Documents
Financial documents must meet or exceed the Estimated Cost of Attendance and must also follow the guidelines below:
- Personal bank statements must show the 3 most current months of account transactions. Bank statements from business accounts will not be accepted.
- Bank statements must be in English and clearly identify the account holder, currency, and the name and address of the bank.
- Funds must be in liquid funds such as savings/bank statements or certificates of deposit. Funds cannot be in investements, salary/income confirmations, etc.
- If the financial document(s) you submit is rejected due to discrepencies, all future submissions must be sent directly from an official bank email address. This ensures the authenticity and integrity of the information provided.
A completed and signed Financial Agreement Form must be uploaded along with bank statements.

Scholarships
ETSU offers a variety of different scholarships for degree-seeking international students. Each scholarship is different, but most are applied directly towards tuition and reduces the overall cost of attendance. Scholarships include, but are not limited to:

- Creative Arts Scholarships
- Honors College Scholarships
- Endowed Scholarships

Sponsorships
In some cases, students may be financially sponsored by a government, education institution, or official agency. The sponsoring organization must provide the following:
- An official scholarship award letter that clearly defines the scholarship terms and/or variables that could affect the scholarship
- A signed agreement to pay ETSU directly for the student's cost of attendance. This will be verified with the ETSU Bursar prior to issuing an I-20.
- Stipend to cover living expenses (housing and meal plan), books, insurance, and other
educational costs.

- Kuwait Cultural Division
- Huddersfield
- Fulbright
If sponsoring entities cannot meet the criteria above, students will need to follow the instructions for submitting financial documents via the I-20 Request Form.

Graduate Assistantships
