Functions of the Office

 

Alignment with Mission	Ensure alignment of activities/initiatives with the ETSU mission and strategic plan. Monitor and adjust objectives, definitions, foci in response to updates in mission, strategic plan, and access and success initiatives at ETSU.
Assessment/Evaluation/Accountability	Develop and maintain a systematic process for data collection and evaluation of strategic outreach, access and success initiatives across ETSU. Support and assist in strategic outreach, access and success initiatives to assure compliance with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) accreditation and program accreditations, and program reviews. Provide annual impact reports for various constituents in collaboration with the colleges and other campus units. Maintain an inventory of outreach, access and success activities/initiatives.
Partnerships	Coordinate with Academic Affairs, Student Life and Enrollment, and ETSU Health at ETSU to expand initiatives and create interdisciplinary, intercollegiate and community partnerships. Promote and support mutually beneficial partnerships that provide outreach, access and success opportunities for all students, faculty, and staff.
Professional Development	Provide programming, lectures, workshops, seminars, and other educational and research opportunities for faculty, staff, and student development in the areas of strategic outreach, access and success.
Recognition	Support and provide guidance for obtaining state and national awards and other relevant recognitions for our outreach, access and success efforts. Cultivate, support, and recognize community partnerships. Establish recognition for faculty, staff, and students that excel in strategic initiatives related to outreach, access and success. Build internal/external awareness of strategic outreach, access and success activities/initiatives.
Resources	Provide support and guidance for offices/units that facilitate outreach, access and success initiatives. Seek opportunities for collaboration of outreach, access and success initiatives across campus. Seek resources to implement and sustain ETSU’s goals for outreach, access and success. Provide support for students, staff, and faculty related to outreach, academic success, access, professional development, and retention. Provide support for students, staff, and faculty research related to strategic outreach, access and success initiatives.
