Brief Bio:
Dr. Jodi Polaha is a clinical psychologist by training. She has worked in primary
care her entire 20-plus year career, including delivering mental health services,
training students and residents, developing programming, conducting research and working
in advocacy around team-based practice in health care. She joined the faculty in Family
Medicine in 2015 and has served as director on two large HRSA grants.
She is currently directing the Institute for Integrated Behavioral Health, which aims to improve team based practice in all College of Medicine clinics. She is co-editor of the journal, Family, Systems, & Health and serves on the Board of Directors for the Collaborative Family Health Care Association. Dr. Polaha is “Jodi Jones” in the community, where she has been elected to serve as a Washington County Commissioner. She lives in Johnson City and spends her weekends hiking, biking, camping and swimming with her husband and two teenage sons.
