MS in IFCS
The M.S. degree in IFCS enhances the capability of professionals to implement key services competently while addressing a variety of client needs throughout their life stages. Graduate preparation maximizes the academic and professional growth of students seeking additional qualifications to advance in their careers.
The IFCS program is approved by the National Council on Family Relations as a Certified Family Life Educator-approved program. Graduates of the IFCS program qualify for provisional status as a Certified Family Life Educator.
In-state tuition for border counties along with tuition scholarship opportunities are available. ETSU out-of-state students enrolled exclusively in online courses and programs are eligible to receive reduced tuition rates through the eRate. Information to note about the eRate:
- The eRate is available to students who are classified as non-residents of Tennessee, and who are enrolled exclusively in online courses and/or programs.
- The eRate represents approximately a 50% savings when compared to out-of-state tuition rates. Please view the Office of the Bursar website for current eRate tuition and fee amounts.
The core curriculum, internship, and capstone course are designed to provide an enhancement of knowledge and skills grounded in best practice for this field. Students can select electives, field work settings, and course projects based on contextualized interests and goals such as leadership, teaching and education, and family services.
