Women In Film

Women in Film Club

The Women in Film Club is a community dedicated to celebrating films by and about women. We come together to choose and watch movies as a group, then have discussions about what we’ve seen. Our conversations focus on how films handle themes of feminism and inclusivity, looking at how women and diverse perspectives are represented on screen. We also chat about filmmaking itself—discussing everything from how movies are made to the choices directors and writers make. Our goal is to enjoy great films while learning more about the impact of feminist and inclusive viewpoints in cinema.

American Marketing Association (AMA)

ETSU’s AMA chapter provides students with insights into what a career in the field of marketing looks like with relevant speakers, events, and spaces to meet with like-minded peers. Professional development and networking opportunities are our main focus to grow dedicated professionals who work, teach, and study in the field of marketing.  

AMA membership extends beyond your graduation date. Student members are offered the extension of a one year professional AMA membership at a free or discounted rate.

Strategic Media Club

The Strategic Media Club combines the two premier strategic professional organizations – American Advertising Federation and Public Relations Student Society of America – into one fantastic experience. Students in today's media environment need to understand how these two forces complement each other professionally. By combining the clubs, students are members of both and connect with professional experiences found in each club.

East Tennessean

The East Tennessean is the student-run newspaper of ETSU. It gives students the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of areas including reporting, photography, videography, advertising and design. Students cover stories on campus- and community-related news, features, sports and entertainment. There is also an editorial section for students to express their opinions on a wide-range of issues.

Edge radio

The Edge

The Edge 89.5 is ETSU's student-run radio station. It provides students with real-world experience in the radio broadcasting field. Students gain experience in hosting and producing their own shows, creating broadcast-level production elements and broadcast programming and management.
