Daniel Westover joined ETSU's English faculty in 2010 after earning a Ph.D. from Bangor University (UK) and MA and MFA degrees from McNeese State University. He teaches graduate seminars in twentieth and twenty-first century British literature as well as undergraduate courses in British poetry and fiction, women’s literature and feminist theory, and the dystopian novel. Dr. Westover is the author of R. S. Thomas: A Stylistic Biography (University of Wales Press, 2011) and co-editor of two books on Gerard Manley Hopkins, The World Is Charged: Poetic Engagements with Gerard Manley Hopkins (Clemson University Press, 2016) and The Fire that Breaks: Gerard Manley Hopkins’s Poetic Legacies (Clemson University Press, 2020). His chapter on Gerard Manley Hopkins and Wales is forthcoming in Gerard Manley Hopkins in Context (Cambridge University Press, 2023).
