Submission deadline for The Mockingbird is midnight October 14, 2026.
The Mockingbird is the student literary magazine published by the East Tennessee State University Department of Literature and Language. Its staff and contributors are all ETSU students, some submitting their creative works for the first time. Traditionally, the call for literary submissions occurs early during the fall semesters. We encourage all ETSU students, regardless of major, to participate in creating The Mockingbird.
The co-editors for the 2027 issue of The Mockingbird are Grant Bivens and Holly Hower, graduate students in the ETSU Literature and Language Department.
