
Propel your career with our Research Track
Our student pharmacists collaborate with faculty on both lab-based and clinical research projects ranging from cancer studies to prescription opioid abuse. By participating in research, our graduates are distinguished from their peers when seeking residency or career positions.
Eligibility
Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher to enter and progress in the Research Track. Students are eligible to enter the Research Track after successfully completing 1 semester of the research elective.
Application
Sponsorship by a pharmacy faculty member is required, serving as students' research mentor. Electives are offered throughout the year and students register during normal Fall/Spring elective enrollment periods. Students must apply no later than end of P3 Spring semester.

Requirements
Complete 8 hours of course work including 6 hours of research electives plus 2 hour Capstone experience (PMlN 6361or PMSC/PMPR7300).

Discuss interest in research with individual faculty -

- Enroll in Research I course with faculty mentor for 2 credits
- Register each subsequent semester for 2 credits in next level research course (11, Ill, etc.)
- If desired, students may change faculty mentors without loss of credit toward the Research Track

- Continue research coursev.orkto complete at least 6 credit hours
- Apply for Research Track by P3 Spring semester
