Transfer Information

 

ETSU Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy is accepting transfer applications and ready to help make the process as easy as possible. The college offers a Director of Academic Success, Student Success Coordinators embedded in the P1-P3 classes, as well as tutoring services—each designed to help you succeed. Learn more.

• Eligibility

  A transfer applicant is defined as an individual who is currently enrolled in the professional year curriculum of a PharmD program at an ACPE affiliated school or college of pharmacy, or a school or college of pharmacy which was accredited within the previous year. Students who are not currently enrolled in pharmacy school but who were enrolled in a pharmacy program within the previous year are also considered transfer applicants.

  Transfer applicants must meet the same admission requirements as individuals applying for initial admission into the professional program. Additionally, transfer applicants must be in good standing at their last pharmacy school attended (i.e., eligible to return) and are expected to be academically competitive.

• Admission Process

  • Complete and submit a transfer inquiry application.
  • Upload an unofficial pharmacy school transcript
  • The Admissions Committee may request the following supplemental materials:  A secondary transfer application; copies of PCAT scores (if applicable); letters of reference; and copies of pharmacy school course syllabi.

  Upon receipt of the above materials, the Admissions Committee will review the application to determine the applicant's viability for admission. Should the applicant be deemed qualified for admission, a personal interview will be required.

• Transfer Credit and Residency

  Credit awarded for previously completed coursework, and subsequently the academic classification of a transfer student shall be determined by the Office of Academic Affairs in consultation with the chairs of the academic departments.

  Transfer students are required to complete a minimum of two years of the curriculum in order to receive the PharmD degree from Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy.
