Clinical Librarianship

The clinical librarianship program at the Quillen College of Medicine Library brings clinical information to the point of care for improved patient outcomes. ETSU Quillen College of Medicine librarians currently on a weekly basis attend morning reports at Johnson City Family Medicine, Kingsport Family Medicine, Bristol Family Medicine, Surgery, and Pediatrics.

The Quillen College of Medicine librarians over the past decade have performed over 4,000 specialized searches for clinicians who use the information in the treatment and diagnosis that they provide for patients.

We also offer expert search services to aid in research and clinical care. These services are free to ETSU personnel and are provided at an hourly rate to non-ETSU clients.
