Training for General Audiences or Diverse Groups
Our trainings are developed by multidisciplinary experts in the field and designed to educate, equip and optimize the efforts of individuals and institutions to mitigate ACE’s on an individual and systems level.
General Training:
This course will provide an overview of what is meant by adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and how ACEs may impact lifelong physical and mental health. Participants taking this course will learn about ACEs and other forms of trauma and stress, including how trauma- and resilience-informed approaches can promote better health and well-being in individuals, workplaces, and the larger community. It is a foundational course and is prerequisite to future training offerings in such areas as K-12 education, policing, healthcare, higher education, and others. Training for Post-Secondary Educators:
This 1 hour and 15 minute training video covers foundational information about how adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and traumatic events can impact one's academic, social, physical, and mental well-being, particularly as relevant for higher educational learning environments. An evidence-based model of promoting resilience in ourselves, our colleagues, and our classrooms is offered to provide tangible ways that one can help mitigate the impact of ACEs and trauma in higher educational settings. Training for Healthcare:
Training about adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), trauma responsiveness, and resilience building specifically targeted for healthcare organizations.
Training for K-12 schools:
Training about adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), trauma responsiveness, and resilience
building specifically tailored for school faculty and staff from the principals to
the teachers to bus drivers to the school resource officers.
