The Center for Experiential Learning at ETSU's Quillen College of Medicine provides hands-on training through simulation and standardized patient experiences. The center supports medical students, residents and other learners across health professions in a safe, realistic environment through simulation-based education and standardized patient encounters.

What we do:
The Center for Experiential Learning (CEL) includes the Human Patient Simulation Lab and the Standardized Patient Program, supporting training in clinical skills, communication and team-based care for students, residents and practicing professionals.
Experiential learning strengthens clinical education by allowing learners to practice skills before entering clinical environments. Simulation and standardized patient encounters help students develop confidence, improve communication and strengthen teamwork.
