Tutoring
The peer tutoring program exists to provide students who are experiencing academic challenges with a free source of assistance outside of the faculty to facilitate their learning and mastery of the academic material covered in the course.
Our peer tutors are upper-class students who have excelled academically and are recommended by the course directors. These tutors work with first and or second year students in groups and individually (when appropriate) on content and test preparation for a specified amount of time as agreed upon by the tutor and the student.
Group Tutoring
Group tutoring sessions are coordinated by AOA. All students are welcomed and encouraged to participate in these sessions.
Check the group chat for the dates and locations of upcoming sessions!
Individual Tutoring
As individual tutoring is a limited resource, students must first meet with an academic support counselor to assess their learning strategies and receive a referral for tutoring. One-on-one tutoring may be limited to students earning lower than 80%.
