Opportunities at Forensic Center
Job Shadow / Visitor
As a visitor, individuals may shadow forensic center staff for one day. Activities may include attending Morning Report (case presentations), observing autopsies, participating in death scene responses, or reviewing cases with a pathologist.
To apply, submit a 250-word essay (maximum 350 words) describing your career goals and educational objectives. If receiving academic credit, a resume and a letter of recommendation from a professor are required.
Unpaid Internship
Unpaid interns must complete the minimum required hours set by their academic program. Interns will be assigned specific duties and may also attend Morning Report, observe autopsies, participate in death scene responses, and review cases with a pathologist.
To apply, submit a resume (CV), a personal statement of interest, and at least three references. A letter of recommendation is required if receiving academic credit.
Application deadline: February 28
Interviews: Conducted in March for summer internships
Volunteer
Volunteers are asked to commit at least four hours per week for a minimum of three months. Responsibilities may include assigned duties as well as attending Morning Report, observing autopsies, participating in death scene responses, and reviewing cases with a pathologist.
To apply, submit a resume (CV) and a personal statement of interest. References are encouraged.

- Be at least 18 years of age
- Sign a confidentiality agreement for educational visitors
- Provide documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination or sign a waiver (if observing in the morgue)
- Provide any required evaluation forms on the day of attendance
