July 26, 2024 - Annual Program Evaluations (APE) and Major Changes are due to the GME Office
August 2, 2024 - Accreditation Data System (ADS) Annual Program Updates due to the GME Office for review -
Incoming Resident Orientation
The Office of Graduate Medical Education Orientation will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025 in Stanton Gerber Hall, VA Building 178, Room C-023. The format will be confirmed at a later date but the event will commence at 7:00 am. Each specialty program will have scheduled training and events June 17 through June 30. You will be notified by your respective program of the details.
- Ballad Health Orientation will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 12:00 - 5:00 pm at Johnson City Medical Center in the 7th Floor, Auditorium 1.
- Veterans Administration Medical Center Orientation will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 in VA Building 1, Room B-06, from 8:00-10:00 am. You each will need to arrange further program specific orientation
and computer training.
- GME Picnic will be Friday, June 27, 2025 from 12:30 - 2:30 pm at Rotary Park - London Pavilion.

Residents as Teachers Workshop (RAT)
Teaching residents how to teach is a critical part of residents' training in graduate medical education. Residents play a critical role in educating Quillen College of Medicine medical students as well junior learners. All learners are involved in ongoing professional and personal development.
This workshop will address teaching skills revelant to both clinical and non-clinical settings such as providing effective feedback, precepting skills, and teaching at the bedside. All current Quillen interns will be scheduled to participate during one session. Please communicate with your program coordinator regarding which date you are scheduled

WebADS Workshop
The GME Office will host a WebAds Workshop which will be led by Reid Blackwelder, MD, Associate Dean, Designated Institutional Official and will provide invaluable information and guidance as programs prepare for their annual ADS updates.
