Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University was established for
the purpose of providing physicians and medical care to the people in the surrounding
regions. Quillen College of Medicine is a publicly supported academic institution
dedicated to excellence in medical care, biomedical research and health education.
Graduate Medical Education (GME) plays a crucial role in obtaining these goals.

Quillen College of Medicine endeavors to meet community and regional needs. This effort includes identifying, creating and establishing excellent programs to accommodate those needs, and providing maintenance through fiscal support, human resources and educational opportunities, so to meet those needs in the future.
Our residency and fellowship programs are key in the education of medical students and the research activities of the institution by providing service, creating teaching and educational opportunities for the area, and ultimately improving the health care in northeast Tennessee and the surrounding Appalachian region.

Application Process
The Quillen College of Medicine is committed to conducting these programs in compliance with the institutional and specific requirements of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), the Joint Commission and in the accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
