Success is in the Bag!
The Clemmer College Office of Student Success is excited to partner with the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis and the Staff Senate to host Success Is in the Bag, a Community Bag Drive to support ETSU students in need.
During Campus Roundup on August 28, 2026 we'll be providing free bags to students
who need a way to carry their books, laptops, school supplies, and other academic
essentials.
We're asking for your help! Please consider donating new or gently used:
- Backpacks
- Tote bags
- Drawstring bags
- Laptop bags
- Other student-friendly carrying bags
Many students, especially our international students, arrive at ETSU without a reliable bag for their academic materials. Your donation can help ensure they have this simple but essential resource as they begin the semester.
To make your gift even more meaningful, we invite you to tuck a short note of encouragement inside your donated bag. Whether it's a favorite quote, words of support, or a tip that helped you succeed in college or your career, your message can provide encouragement and remind students that the ETSU community is cheering them on.
Donation Drop-Off Locations:
- Warf-Pickel 201 (Student Success Office)
- Carrier Center (Culp 222)
Donation Dates: July 20th - August 17th
Drop-Off Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Thank you for helping us show our students that success is in the bag. Your generosity—and
your words of encouragement—will help students begin the semester feeling prepared,
supported, and connected to the ETSU community.
