ABOUT
Dr. Jamie Price received her PhD in math education from the University of Tennessee. Her passion includes working with pre-service and in-service teachers, sharing ideas to help foster a deep, conceptual understanding of mathematics. In addition to her work during the academic year, Dr. Price serves as an instructor for the Eastman MathElites Program and has also been involved with numerous grants that have provided professional development to in-service teachers in the east Tennessee and southwest Virginia areas. Her research interests include the development of innovative instructional practices that foster conceptual understanding and the integration of technology in teaching elementary mathematics. She is married to her husband, Casey, and they have two children, Scarlett and Packer.
