Audiology & Speech Language Pathology
Speech-language pathologists and Audiologists are healthcare professionals who help individuals throughout their lifespan who have speech, language, hearing, balance, feeding, or swallowing disorders. The field of audiology & speech-language pathology provides extensive opportunities for individuals interested in health care to assist persons with problems of hearing, speech, and/or language communication.
Through appropriate diagnosis and evaluation and through techniques of (re)habilitation and appropriate counseling, individuals with communication problems can be led to goals of successful personal, social, and vocational competence. The Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (ASLP) offers a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.).
