Phillip Justice, DO, DBA, MBA, FAAN
Dr. Phillip Justice was born in Pittsburgh, PA, and raised in Roanoke, VA. In 2006, he received his medical degree from Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, KY. Dr. Justice completed an internship in internal medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, in 2008 and his residency in neurology at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, OH, in 2011. In 2012, he completed a neurophysiology fellowship focusing on neuromuscular disorders and electromyography (EMG) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Dr. Justice earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Alabama in 2018. In 2022, Dr. Justice earned his Doctorate of Business Administration from Lincoln Memorial University and was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology (FAAN). Dr. Justice is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Pain Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Tennessee Pain Society, and the Pain Society of the Carolinas. Dr. Justice is passionate about caring for patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and is proud to be a member of the exceptional multidisciplinary team at the Gary E. Shealy Memorial ALS clinic.

Kristen being born and raised in East Tennessee and has earned a B.S (Cardiopulmonary Science), M.S. (Allied Health Education), and Ed.D. (Higher Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis) from East Tennessee State University. She has been a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) since 2005. She practiced at a local hospital as an Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) in intensive care units and as a staff supervisor as needed. She began teaching in the clinical environment in 2008 and became a full-time faculty member in the Cardiopulmonary Science program at ETSU in 2013. She now teaches remotely for online degree advancement programs in Respiratory Care.

Dr. Florence Weierbach
Dr. Weierbach is a professional nurse and professor at East Tennessee State University. She has over 40 years of nursing experience in providing direct care to individuals and their families in community settings. She has been the nurse in multiple interprofessional health care teams and conducted research addressing the health of caregivers and developed a model of health for family caregivers who provide care to community dwelling individuals with chronic health conditions. Upon completion of her PhD, she completed a one-year post-doctoral fellowship focusing on rural communities and chronic health conditions of rural residents at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Additionally, she was a Rural Health Fellow 2012-2013 for the National Rural Health Association (NRHA), a member of the American Nurses Association (ANA) Public Health Scope and Standards (3rd edition) work group, and is currently President for the Appalachian Region Tri-state (ARTS) Chapter of the Rural Nurse Association (RNO).

Michelle Lee is a registered and licensed dietitian currently employed at ETSU. She has 30 plus years working with a variety of patients with a wide range of nutritional needs. Her specific interest areas include adults, older adults and providing sound medical nutrition therapy for all diseases and conditions.

Kathy Mueller is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at East Tennessee State University Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy at East Tennessee State University. Dr. Mueller received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota in 1990. She has worked as a Poison Information Specialist, Clinical Pharmacist, and Clinical Coordinator. Most recently, Dr. Mueller was a Drug Information Specialist at the University of Utah. Dr. Mueller provides drug information services to the College of Pharmacy and its affiliates.

Dr. Allison Bourassa, PT, DPT, NCS, ATC, completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2010 from the Medical University of South Carolina and Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Wingate University in 2007. She completed the Brooks Rehabilitation Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency in 2011 and became a Board-certified Specialist in neurologic physical therapy in 2013. Dr. Bourassa is currently an Assistant Professor in the East Tennessee State University's Department of Physical Therapy, where she teaches the neurologic rehabilitation coursework. Dr. Bourassa currently treats individuals with neurologic and vestibular disorders at Physical Therapy Services in Elizabethton, Tennessee. Dr. Bourassa has also worked at Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, FL and the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab (formerly RIC) in Chicago, IL, primarily treating individuals with neurologic disorders at both locations.

Dr. Mike Burford is a professor at East Tennessee State University. He received his MSSW (social work, 2006) and PhD (social work, 2013) from the University of Tennessee. He also received his MS (Educational Psychology/Adult Education, 2001) and BA (Psychology) from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Burford has many years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults that suffer from mental illness and behavioral problems. Dr. Burford also maintains an active and productive research agenda.

Courtney Andrews received a Master of Arts (MA) in Communication Disorders and Sciences from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2012. Prior to this she completed an MA in Cognitive/Developmental Psychology from LSU and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from East Tennessee State University (ETSU). She currently works as an Assistant Professor in Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology at ETSU. Her area of expertise is Adult Neurocognitive Disorders. In addition to serving as the Clinic Coordinator for the Gary Shealy Memorial ALS Clinic she supervises graduate students at The Crumley House for Brain Injury Rehabilitation, in the ETSU Speech and Hearing Clinic, and runs the concussion management program at ETSU.
