Dr. Sarah H. Standridge is an Associate Professor in the Sport and Recreation Management program at ETSU, where she serves as Coordinator of the M.S. Recreation Administration concentration. Her research focuses on leisure and coping in later life.
Dr. Standridge teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, including Recreation for Special Populations, Special Event Planning, Management of Sport and Leisure Activities, and Recreation Programming. Her professional experience spans multiple sectors of sport and recreation, including work with University of Alabama in Huntsville Athletics, minor league baseball organizations, the Grand Ole Opry, and Camp Sumatanga.
She earned her degrees from East Tennessee State University and Middle Tennessee State University. Outside of work, Dr. Standridge enjoys spending time with her pets, reading, sewing, watching animes and K-dramas, and being outdoors.
Her favorite part of the SARM Department is the collaborative environment, which makes it easy to try new ideas, build meaningful community partnerships, and create impactful experience for students.
