Dr. Natalie Smith is an Associate Professor in the Sport & Recreation Management program at ETSU, where she serves as Department Chair and Athletic Administration and Esports Programs Coordinator. Her research focuses on organizational innovation and creativity.
Dr. Smith teaches a range of undergraduate and graduate courses, including SARM Research, Managing People and Organizations in Sport, Administration in Sport and Recreation, and International Sport. Her professional experience includes work with Sky Blue FC (now Gotham FC), Major League Soccer, and Eastern Mountain Sports.
She earned her degrees from Pomona College, the FIFA Master Program, and the University of Illinois.
Outside of work, Dr. Smith enjoys open water swimming, walking in her neighborhood, international travel, and the candy in Dr. Greene's candy basket. Her favorite part of the SARM Department is watching students compete each year in the National College Sports Sales Competition.
