Jessica Mould is a proud native of Bluefield, Virginia, who began her college journey at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) in the fall of 2002. Drawn to the beautiful East Tennessee mountains and the sense of community not far from home, Jessica discovered her passion for sport management early in her undergraduate experience. She graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sport and Leisure Management with a minor in Marketing. Jessica launched her professional career with ETSU Campus Recreation in 2007 as an Executive Aide. Over the years, she has grown within the department, holding several key roles including Office Coordinator, Coordinator of Member Services and Marketing, and now serves as the Assistant Director of Operations.
In pursuit of continued professional development, Jessica earned her Master of Business Administration through ETSU's Accelerated MBA program, completing the degree in just 12 months and graduating in August 2018. In her current role, Jessica coordinates the daily operations of the Center for Physical Activity (CPA), overseeing areas such as risk management, fiscal planning, and staffing for member services, facility supervision, and marketing. She directly supervises the Coordinator of Operations & Aquatics, Facility Supervisor, and Member Service Specialist, while indirectly overseeing pool operations, lifeguard staff, and facility assistants. Her budgeting responsibilities include managing the CPA's operational budget and indirectly managing the aquatics program budget. Jessica also oversees membership and guest pass sales, locker rentals, and registration for events and programs. She collaborates with both internal and external partners to ensure smooth access for members and guests.
Jessica plays a key role in managing the department's recreational software system (Fusion), ensuring accurate nightly and semester user imports, and serves as the liaison to ETSU's IT department for technology related needs. In addition to her operational responsibilities, Jessica has expanded her role at ETSU as an adjunct professor, teaching ETSU 1020 as well as courses in the Sport and Recreation Management program.
When she's not working or giving back to the ETSU community, Jessica enjoys spending time with family and friends or being outdoors, especially working in her yard.
