Dr. Amanda (Amy) Greene is a Full Professor in the Sport and Recreation Management program at ETSU. She serves as Sport Management faculty and Undergraduate Program Coordinator, as well as the Undergraduate Internship Coordinator. Her research focuses on community-engaged learning in sport management pedagogy.
Dr. Greene teaches a variety of undergraduate courses, including Sport and Recreation Marketing, Sport Sales, Corporate Social Responsibility in Sport, Sporting Events and Community Engagement, and Legal Issues in Sport and Recreation. Her professional experience includes working with Bristol Motor Speedway, serving as an event coordinator for Winter Classic Basketball Tournaments, and gaining experience in Minor League Baseball.
She earned her degrees from East Tennessee State University. Outside of the classroom, Dr. Greene enjoys skiing and snowboarding with her husband and children, running and working out, exploring National Park Service sites with her family, traveling to new places, and watching her children play sports.
Her favorite part of the SARM Department is witnessing the "light bulb" moments students experience when working sporting events and building connections with the community.
