Angela Altomare
(she/her)
Spring 2024
Angela is a thesis-track student pursuing her Master’s in Sociology at East Tennessee State University. She joined the program in the Spring of 2024 after graduating with honors at 59 from Fort Hays State University with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Angela was a member of the FHSU Honor Society and is a member of Alpha Kappa Delta. Angela’s list of sociological research interests is endless. However, due to space, she currently has a strong interest in stigma as well as death and dying, gerontology, feminist theory, gender studies, family studies, and neurodiversity.
During her free time, Angela enjoys reading mysteries, crocheting, watching true crime and foreign television, and visiting her family, who are scattered across the country and world.
Angela’s long-term plans are still in the early stages. However, one thing is for sure: she will never stop learning.
