W.E.B. DuBois Society
The W.E.B. DuBois Society meets once a month between September and April to discuss and examine critical issues impacting Black Americans. These issues include, but are not limited to:
- Racism in America
- Police brutality and misconduct
- Health Care disparities
- Education
- Sports
- Entertainment
- Pop Culture
- Sexism
- Black Feminism
- Black LGBTQ+
- Politics
- African Diaspora
- Literature
- Major themes in Black American history
- Racial Uplift
The W.E.B. DuBois seeks students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, Black American Studies stakeholders, and people throughout the region to participate. These meetings will last 60 minutes. Please email Dr. Carter if you have any questions.
