Course Equivalencies
Apply Your Previously Earned Credits
East Tennessee State University will accept transfer credit for similar coursework from accredited institutions. Apply your previously earned credits towards a 4-year degree, seamlessly continue your education, and achieve your career goals faster.
Evaluate Your Coursework
To review how courses will transfer, please visit the Transfer Course Equivalencies Table. The Transfer Course Equivalency Table is a database maintained by the ETSU Office of Undergraduate Admissions staff. It contains a list of institutions (by state) that ETSU has evaluated course credit from in the past.
Prospective students are welcome to utilize our degree planning tool, TransferWorks, to input courses completed at other accredited institutions. This tool can be used to get a better ideal of how courses may transfer to ETSU. This system works off our TRansfer Course Equivalency Table, and as such is not an exhaustive list of courses that will transfer to ETSU. TRANSFERWORKS
Note: Please do not be alarmed if a course you wish to transfer does not appear on the Transfer Course Equivalencies Table. If your transfer institution and/or specific course is not listed, it may mean that ETSU has never evaluated that course. Please contact someone from our office for assistance.
