Charge: |
Recommend policies and procedures relating to the University's participation in intercollegiate athletics. Areas for consideration include but are not limited to the assurance of compliance with National Collegiate Athletics Association, Southern Conference, and University regulations. Recommend policies and procedures relating to the attainment and maintenance of competitive
excellence within the student-athlete concept. Monitor the entering academic qualifications of student athletes, academic programs and scholastic achievement of student-athletes while enrolled in the University, and athletic scheduling as it relates to the academic needs of the participants, as well as addressing issues relating to Title IX. Monitor budgets for intercollegiate athletics. |
