Preparation Timeline
Beginning January
Familiarize yourself with this ASRF website.- Read the information on the Abstract Guidelines page and compose your abstract.
- Register your Presentation: Visit the ASRF Event Page hosted by Digital Commons and read all the information in the Submission Agreement before you initiate your registration and abstract submission.
Beginning March
- The deadline for registering is 4:00 pm, Monday, March 7, 2022.
- IMPORTANT: No late registrations will be accepted without a letter of excuse from your advisor. You should receive an e-mail confirmation within 24 hours of your registration. If you do not receive confirmation within that timeframe, please contact us immediately.
- After you have registered, go to the ASRF website and read all of the provided information about preparing
your oral/poster presentation and begin preparations.
- The deadline to:
- Order a poster (fees apply) from ETSU's Department of Biomedical Communications is Monday, March 28, 2022.
- Email a PowerPoint file of your oral presentation to research@etsu.edu is Thursday, March 31, 2022.
Beginning April
Check the ASRF Event Page for the presentation schedule. Verify that your name is
on the list and see what poster number or time slot you've been assigned. If you
don't see your name on the list, please contact us immediately.
April 6 & 7, 2022: PRESENTATION DAY
- Posters
- Check in and set up for poster presenters will occur in advance on April 6 between 11:00 am – 3:00 pm on the 3rd floor of the Culp Center.
- The judged poster session will occur on April 7 between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm when
presenters are expected to be in attendance at their posters. Unattended posters will
not be judged.
- Oral
- Oral presenters will check in on the 3rd floor of the Culp at least 30 minutes prior to their presentation time on April 6.
- Keynote
- Participants are encouraged to attend the keynote address and award ceremony on April 7 at 2:00pm. The keynote address will be given by Dr. Derek H. Alderman on “Research as Reparative Storytelling: Lessons from the Black Living Atlas.”
