Access Security Awareness Training (will launch KnowBe4)
Current research indicates that 90% of data breaches are the result of human error. Hackers know that people are the weakest information security link in most organizations and consequently we are all bombarded daily by attempts to unlawfully access our personal information. It is the responsibility of each of us to protect both university data and our own personal confidential data.
The State of Tennessee mandates that all ETSU employees are required to complete Security Awareness Training annually. This training will help provide you with the knowledge necessary to recognize common attack methods that will enable you to spot and avoid scams. Practicing safe information security habits both at home and at work protect your information and important university systems and data.
The Security Awareness Training contains two modules and takes about 30 minutes to complete . You will view an informative video and answer short questions as you progress. Reminders will be sent to your ETSU email as deadlines approach. ITS is working with KnowBe4 to provide this training. You will be redirected to the KnowBe4 site when accessing the training.
Please take time today to complete the training. Any questions can be directed to ITS@etsu.edu. If you are ever uncertain about the legitimacy of a request, or feel your information has been compromised, please contact the ITS Help Desk.
