Application Requirements

1) Submit the Online Application

The first step to apply is to submit an online application and pay the required $35 application fee. 

2) Submit English Proficiency Scores (if applicable)

Students in certain countries who will be studying on F-1 or J-1 visas are required to submit English proficiency scores. A list of approved exams can be found by clicking below.

3) Submit Official Transcripts

For first-time freshman applicants, official high school transcripts are required. Transfer applicants must send transcripts from every post-secondary institution that has been attended. Specific GPA requirements can be found below (based on a 4.0 scale)

English translations of all documents are requirements.

• Credential Evaluations (Optional)

  Official credential evaluations are NOT required, but evaluations from the following companies are approved:

  World Education Services (WES)

  SpanTran

  
  International Education Evaluations (IEE)

  Education Credential Evaluators  (ECE)

  *Credential evaluations from other agencies do not substitute for original transcripts

   

• Official Transcripts

  Official transcripts must be sent to ETSU by the issuing institution. Transcripts can be sent via email as long as they are directly from the secondary or post-secondary institution. Transcripts will not be accepted directly from the student.
