Definition
Employees in this class are under general supervision. Work performed in maintenance of washers, dryers, and various vending machines, coordination of concession stands, accounting for monies collected, and performing related work as required.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Performs routine maintenance on washers, dryers, and vending machines.
Orders repair parts.
Collects monies from machines, totals, and turns in to Business Office.
Maintains responsibility for the change fund for concessions at athletic events, concerts, and special events and accounts for monies collected.
Coordinates activities of student workers working at concession stands.
Performs other work as required.
Required Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of routine vending machine maintenance.
Knowledge of arithmetic.
Knowledge of the principles of supervision.
Ability to coordinate concessions work.
Ability to perform maintenance work on vending machines and related equipment.
Ability to accurately handle monies collected from vending machines and at concession stands.
Ability to evaluate situations and make decisions.
Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the public, students and other employees.
Recommended Qualifications
Applicants possessing these qualifications have a good probability for success in this class. However, applicants not possessing these qualifications should apply if they believe their training and experience will enable them to perform the work successfully. Graduation from a standard high school. Experience in machine maintenance.
