Definition      

Employees in this class are under general supervision. Work performed in assisting with vending and concessions, repairing machinery, collecting monies, and coordinating temporary work forces as directed. Performs related work as required. 

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

Assists Vending and Concessions Coordinator by repairing laundry and other vending machines, collecting vending money and directing students at concession stands for athletic and special events.

Sets up stands for correct display for events.

Runs errands for food service for food deliveries, machine parts, etc.

Cooks hot dogs and other concession items.

Ensures concession stands are clean.

Performs other duties as assigned. 

Required Knowledge and Abilities

Knowledge of electrical methods, materials and equipment common to vending machinery.

Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions.

Ability to use, clean, repair and maintain equipment.

Ability to direct students.

Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other employees. 

Recommended Qualifications

Applicants possessing these qualifications have a good probability for success in this class. However, applicants not possessing these qualifications should apply if they believe their training and experience will enable them to perform the work successfully. Completion of the tenth grade. Some experience in maintenance of vending or similar machines.
