I grew up in Chattanooga, TN., where I lived until I left to attend ETSU as an undergraduate. In 2006, I earned my B.S. in Mathematics. Knowing that I wanted to teach at the collegiate level, I began the next phase of my journey at UT Knoxville earning an M.S. in Statistics. In 2008, I got married and my husband and I moved to Columbia, South Carolina, where I received my Ph.D. in Statistics. I came full circle back to ETSU after earning my Ph.D. when I accepted an offer to become an assistant professor in the Mathematics & Statistics Department. I was promoted to associate professor in 2019. After teaching for 8 years in the Math & Stats Department, an opportunity opened up at Quillen College of Medicine as their biostatistician. My responsibilities include teaching Biometry and Medical Computing. In addition to teaching, I assist and or collaborate with medical students, graduate students, fellows, and colleagues with study design and statistical analysis to support grant proposals, conduct research, publications, and presentations.
I enthusiastically look forward to this next phase in my career and cannot wait to see where this new path takes me. My hobbies include spending time with my family and friends, chasing after my two little girls, traveling, reading and Harry Potter.
