Design for Virtual Learning
Design for Virtual Learning Courses
ETSU's online Design for Virtual Learning graduate certificate program is not currently being offered.
However, we continue to offer two key courses as graduate electives, compatible with several other graduate certificates offered at ETSU.
Our courses are designed to prepare professionals to effectively and efficiently design learning environments and materials. In interactive formats, they address the theoretical foundations and application of effective and impactful learning unit design for online and hybrid delivery as well as the identification and measure of technical tools for multi-modal learning.
What to Expect with Design for VIrtual Learning Courses
The design for virtual learning courses is for individuals who want to either develop or grow their skills in an effective and impactful design for learning units. The knowledge gained from this certificate program seeks to fill the gap for those working professionals who are charged with the training and education of others within an organization.
The skills offered through these courses relate directly to the projected increase and demand for training professionals who are able to immediately contribute to the planning, conducting, and administration of programs that train employees and improve their skills and knowledge, as identified by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The instructional design and technology courses provide a constructive environment where learners can present information using a variety of instructional delivery methods including, but not limited to, simulations, multimedia presentations, dynamic discussion, and team-based exercises.
