The mission of East Tennessee State University's Bureau of Business and Economic Research is to engage in timely academic and applied research that provides stakeholders at the state and regional level the data analysis that will support economic and community development within the state of Tennessee and the Appalachian Highlands region.
VISION
To serve as a Key Partner to the region's business, government, education, economic development, and civic organizations responsible for sustaining the region's economic development through applied research studies and development programs designed to resolve specific organizational issues; facilitating the efforts between business, educators, and the community ensuring a qualified labor force; and reporting up-to-date local, regional, national, and global business, economic and labor market conditions and trends.
