Event Description:

William King Museum presents Johnson City-based artists Ralph Slatton and David Dixon’s “Secret Identities”, new works at the Panoramic Gallery in Abingdon, VA on April 2 to 28, 2013 with reception on April 4, First Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Both Slatton and Dixon are professors of printmaking and graphic art, respectively, at the Department of Art and Design at ETSU. Slatton's work consists primarily of traditional printmaking, employing the animal figure as surrogate while Dixon utilizes both traditional and new media digital imaging techniques in his avatars. According to the artists, the works in the exhibition explore imagery that "give form to the hidden identities within us through figurative portraits."
