The Great Weed Debate

Event Description:
On April 21st at 4:00pm the Campus Alcohol and Other Drug program will be partnering with the ETSU Debate Council to present The Great Weed Debate in the Culp Center Ballroom. The main purpose of this event is to discuss with students about marijuana decriminalization in the state of Tennessee.
An important goal of this event is to provide our campus community with a full spectrum of marijuana-related information and resources relevant to the impact of marijuana on health, mental health, social and legal issues, the economy and more. Information during the debate portion of this event will be presented by students from the ETSU Debate Council. It will be followed by a question-and-answer portion utilizing an expert panel. Participating on the panel will be members of the ETSU community: Dr. Chris Dula and Dr. Matt Palmatier. Lt. Scotty Carrier, a Johnson City Police officer, will participate on the panel as well.
