Regional Industries and Their Environmental Impact - A talk by activist Park Overall

Event Description:

Park Overall is an American film and television actress and an environmental and women’s rights activist. Overall has appeared in a number of feature films, including Biloxi Blues, Mississippi Burning, Beer for My Horses, and In the Family. Her best-known role was as nurse Laverne Higby Todd Kane in the long-running sitcom Empty Nest. 

For many years, Overall has advocated for environmental and social justice in her native East Tennessee. She has been actively involved in requests for local industries to ensure that their practices maintain a minimal impact on human and environmental health. She will discuss her activism in this area in her talk on April 23rd.
