Ethical Issues for the Information Age

This panel discussion will focus on two primary topics: 1) issues of public civility and consideration of the rights of others when using portable electronic devices in public spaces; and 2) issues of client confidentiality and rights to privacy when protable electronic devices are being used for purposes of professional communication and data management.

The panel includes Elizabeth Randall, PhD, LCSW and Brittany Wilkins, PhD, LCSW. Dr. Randall is a professor in the Department of Social Work at ETSU. She has 27 years of practice experience in the field of behavioral health and is a past president of a state chapter of NASW. Dr. Wilkins is an assistant professor in the Department of Social Work at ETSU. She has published articles on topics related to behavioral health and specializes in the epidemiology and treatment of addications.

Attendees will receive 3.0 hours of CEU credit through the National Association of Social Workers for this event. Please see the attachment for further information about fees and registration.
